I’ve said it time and time again; video makes me uncomfortable. I want desperately to be more natural and confident with it, and keep trying to push myself in baby steps. But what I really, truly want? I want to be this kid. I want to be flat out, balls-to-the-wall myself and not worry about what others think of me or how I look. This kid is totally into what he’s doing, and clearly loving it.
I wonder if we could get “our” own Wal-Mart security footage to hack into a video. Then again, maybe the private arena is better.
Perhaps you just have to strap a mobile camera on your shoulder and see what you’ve been watching for 9 hours to decide if anything is worth recording from the other direction. 🙂
Sigh…
Back to the other side of the screen.
Thanks for sharing!
You got the hair and the attitude. You just need some practice getting used to your own image and voice. Baby steps probably won’t get you there.
Normally when you see videos like this, they’re of the Numa Numa variety, where the person made a private recording that went viral. I’m glad to see that this is intentional. And if you look at the responses, a lot of people don’t like the videos, but he keeps posting and people keep watching.
And it’s precisely that dogged “damn the torpedos, full speed ahead” attitude that I love. He’s not bothered by trolls–he just keeps doing what he’s doing because he gets real joy from it. *happy sigh* I definitely need to use this as a teachable moment. ;D
I’m not convinced this is a “kid”. And, don’t ask me why I noticed this, but even though he’s lip-synching, I noticed the big lisp. And that just makes it even funnier to me.
