It’s hard to believe we are in December, literally days away from the University shutdown for winter break. There are a million blog posts I’m behind on, and a ton of work items still on my to do list, but with the office half-staffed, I’m feeling like a salmon furiously pushing my way upstream as I try to get just a few more things accomplished before I close the door on 2011.
One of those things is having a better approach to blogging. While on break (if I can’t manage to work it out beforehand) I am going to rethink my blogging, and create some basic categories where I can do a better job of hitting those tech pieces I need to get out the door. I work with so many applications here at work, and it seems I’ve gotten away from incorporating that into Renegade. More importantly, as this site continues to grow, I need a better approach to my content strategy — how to add it, how to scale it, how to manage it. You know, basically all the things.
So I’m leaving this in draft form, just on the off chance I really do get some stories out before I wrap up the year and go off in search of mistletoe and Baileys. And here’s a thought: if there’s anybody out there still reading as opposed to rolling in holiday cookies, let me know your suggestions. Because I’m all about shaking it up for the new year.
